Grandkids and Christmas are a match made in heaven. I can hardly do Christmas without the grandkids around. I’m lucky enough to be with two of my grandkids right now…in sunny Florida, no less! Sorry, but somebody’s got to do it!
My husband and I checked the weather “back home” this morning. There was snow and wind and freezing rain and all sorts of unpleasant weather. While here, in sunny Florida, it was SUNNY and WARM and FABULOUS. The palm trees are all dressed up in lights and even the storks and cranes are in the holiday spirit (they are perched on top of the roofs of the neighbor’s house smack dab in the middle of the Christmas lights.)
Tomorrow, we are going to Poinciana Christian Church to worship with the daughter’s family. It’ll be a lot like home, because one of the ministers on staff at the church is the son of some really good friends of ours from back home in Indiana.
Today, we spent a great day together, eating lunch on the deck just off the kitchen and visiting with our son-in-law’s family. A great, great day. Full of love and laughter and hugs and grandkids. My heart is full.
Christmas and grandkids do seem to fit together quite nicely.
Hope your Christmas is as merry and bright as mine! Peace to all.
